Private charters are available for any unique and special experience, aboard the Schooners Adirondack & Imagine or the Luxury Yacht Manhattan. Get the vessel all to yourself, as you take to the water on a majestic 80-foot sailboat or cruise aboard a luxurious 1920s-style yacht.
The Manhattan is certified for up to 100 guests. She is ideal for up to 70 guests during the warmer months for a cocktail and passed hors d’oeuvres party, up to 50 guests for a buffet-style dinner, and up to 35 guests for a formal seated dinner event. Up to 100 can be accommodated for short sightseeing outings during the warmer months, when both the indoor and outdoor decks can be well utilized.
The Manhattan is the only yacht in New York City that can smoothly circumnavigate the entire island of Manhattan in 3 hours of cruising time. Our standard route will take you underneath all 18 bridges that connect to the island -- a wonderfully unique experience and a differentiating specialty of ours.

The Manhattan has been quite a popular charter yacht for the entertainment of many local NYC businesses. Weddings
Yes! We do! We do, we do, we do! Manhattan has been perfect for the small wedding ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, proposals or brunch gathering. She has also entertained many a bachelor and bachelorette parties. It’s a great way to have your out of town guests see the city while joining you on your special day.
Destinations and Activities
The Luxury Yacht Manhattan is an ideal vessel to charter for destination-oriented events. She can cruise up to 22 miles per hour and get your group to Poughkeepsie in 4 hours, West Point in 3.5 hours, and Bear Mountain in 3 hours. Other destinations might include the 79th Street Boat Basin Café; Governor’s Island for a picnic, outdoor sports or a historical tour; or various locations in Connecticut, Long Island, or New Jersey.
Dockside Events
Perhaps your looking to have a nautical event, but do not want to travel anywhere. The Manhattan is available for dockside events. Guests may come and go as they please, and our dock can be transformed into additional waterfront entertainment space.

The Adirondack and Imagine are both certified for 49 guests each. There is no minimum number of guests required for a charter. To inquire about charter availability, you must provide us with a date and a specific time frame. A two hour minimum is required. In that amount of time you can sail from Chelsea Piers to the Statue of Liberty and back. 3 and 4 hour charters provide enough time to sail to the George Washington Bridge and back or to the Statue of Liberty, around Governor’s Island, and up the East River (Under the Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridges), and back to Chelsea.
Schooner Match Races, Tandem Sail, or Charter the Fleet
For groups exceeding 49 guests, the Schooner Match Race utilizes both schooners and can accommodate up to 98 Guests. Both the Schooner Adirondack and the Schooner Imagine are phenomenal sailing vessels, comparable in size and speed, and perfect for an exciting outing on the water. The race course may vary due to wind and tide conditions, and will be established on the day of your event by the captains. Our captains and crew are happy to race on your behalf, or to give guests some hands-on experiences while under way, i.e. raising sails, tacking, and driving. Or you can charter our fleet. Include up to 168 guests by staging a classic Schooner Match Race, chased by a spectators' cruise on our 1920's-style motor yacht Manhattan.
Team-Builders
The schooners have a fun, competitive and educational team-building program involving a set of contests that require communication, teamwork and planning skills. With these hands-on activities, teams will not only have a great time, but will also collectively learn quite a bit about the basics of sailing and line-handling. To ensure the safety of all the participants, team-builders start off with an on-deck safety session and a crew member is assigned to each team to ensure that each guest has a great time and stays out of harm’s way while competing.
The program can last 2-4 hours, depending on the number of guests and activities included. There should be 2-5 teams created for the charter with 3-7 members on each team. (35 guests is the max for a hands-on team-builder).
Team-builders are often ended with a picnic luncheon and an optional open bar.
Overnights on the Schooner Imagine
The Schooner Imagine is outfitted with 14 sleeping berths and two heads. If you are interested in a unique overnight event with your family or a small group of friends or associates, please call our main office at 212-627-1825 to discuss pricing and possibilities.
Catering
Please use an outside caterer, or one of these suggested caterers to fulfill your catering needs on private charters aboard the Schooner Adirondack or Schooner Imagine:
There is a service charge of $5/person if catering is to be delivered. We will receive, prep, serve, and clean up all catering for your group. If you are arranging catering that is not from a recommended caterer, please only order food that your guests can eat easily with just a napkin. Small, passable platters are encouraged, as are sandwiches, wraps, and skewered items. There is no galley access, and there are no tables, plates or place settings. Imagine “picnic style” catering when arranging catering aboard Adirondack or Imagine. The Yacht Manhattan has her own menus and on-board chef.
